Research is a crucial activity   to sustain the academic and professional knowledge of the faculty members and students. Keeping this in view  ,the Research  Committee of the college is constituted to play a proactive role in creating a research environment in the college. The committee tries to encourage faculties to publish papers in reputed journals .and assists them to make proposals for allocation of funds from reputed funding agencies. The committee euqally tries to  appraise the faculty members and the students of the latest developments in research.

The progress can be gauged by the fact that the staff and students of Rajarshi  Chhatrapati  Shahu  College have made steady progress in various aspects of research such as in obtaining recognition as research guides, obtaining  research grants from various funding agencies for undertaking Major/Minor Research Projects, number of papers published /  presented,  awards, honours and distinctions sought in research activities, citation of appreciation and many more.

  • Well equipped ,Shivaji University Recognized Research Laboratory in the Department of Chemistry.
  • 3 Research guides available in the subject of Botany ,Physics and English.
  • 663 Research Article Publication till date.
  •  311 Research papers/posers presented in National/International Conferences.
  • Till date 2 Major,15 Minor Research Projects Completed .
  • Organization of   1 International, 6  National,2 State  level Seminars/Conferences on the relevant topics from various disciplines.
  • Organization of One Day Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights on 24th March 2018
  • For ensuring  maintenance of ethical standards of research in the college ,the code of ethics of research is formulated. 
  • Online Plagiarism checking software is made available for teacher and students.
  • Provision of  Seed Money for undertaking research activities.
  • The Committee Strives to establish linkage with external organisations and Universities to conduct joint research projects in future.

Research can bring a shift in the paradigm from teacher-fuelled learning to students-initiated research so active participation of students   is promoted through the following student centered activities:

  • 18 Students won prizes in Avishkaar Research Competition
  • Student participation in ,Rayat Inspire Programme, Poster presentations
  • Yearly submission of  Research project sactioned by Shivaji University Under Research Sensitization Scheme for College Students  through Lead College Cluster.
